Sometimes when opportunity knocks, you answer the door.  As a lover of Syrah and old vines, I jumped at the chance to make my own red blend from some of the most historic vineyards in California.  The bulk of this red wine is Syrah from Cardiac Hill Vineyards, with a splash of Mourvedre from a 100+ year old vineyard in Contra Costa County.  This wine smells like you're driving up highway 1 on your way to Point Reyes; fresh eucalyptus, sea mist, and blue delphinium. Aged for 4 years in large format neutral oak, this wine is unfiltered and unfined (vegan).  This wine has been aged for you, so open and enjoy!
