When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. This old saying is rarely accepted in the world of wine. winemakers what perfectly clean fruit, with no imperfections. Of course, the pursuit for perfectly clean grapes is preferred, but when it isn’t, why reject the fruit? There is always something to make from it. In modern winemaking there always seems to be a defeatist attitude. Grand Bazaar was made because the vintage challenged me to make lemonade out of the lemons that I was provided. Grand Bazaar is an important lesson; there is much beauty in imperfection.

Have you ever walked through a bazaar in Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, or Turkey? This wine smells of dried apricots, honey, tumeric, cashews, curry spices, and Turkish delights. This is an exotic aromatic dance and a wine that will unlikely ever be repeated. This is a dual orange wine fermentation of grapes from the same vineyard. This combination of 14 different grapes helps to explain the aromatic dominance of this wine. If you are a fan of orange wines, in particular, some of the best examples from Slovenia, then this wine is for you.
