Bright Tension Released…… 🍒

I just love the depths of flavors, history, and knowledge contained within Italian wines. With our 2019 ‘Baroque’ we have co-fermented two batches of wine, representing Northwest and Northeast Italy. One batch was a co-fermenation of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico, and Brachetto. The other batch was a co-fermentation of: Marzemino, Lagrein, Montepulciano, Corvina Veronese, Schioppettino, and Teroldego. We aged our wine for 20 months in neutral Hungarian oak barrels (the closest to Slovonian oak) before it was assembled, sulfured with 22ppm and then bottled unfined (Vegan) and lightly filtered. The resulting wine is an explosion of bing cherries, mulberry, figs, dust, and a tension that begs for more time in bottle. Take your time with this beauty.
