2020 DIONYSTIC 'Peach Skin' Viognier (orange)
Bloom damage during 2020 harvest limited the quantity of this wine. On the positive side, the grapes were spared any ill effects of smoke taint. These clusters contained numerous “shot” berries and some sunburn. While most winemakers would have rejected the fruit and not paid the grower, we saw it as an opportunity and gladly supported them in a tough year. This wine was made with the historic Viognier from the famed Deux Vert Vineyard in Yamhill, Oregon.

We got very lucky in 2020. The small clusters of Viognier produced one of the most intense and concentrated versions to date. While we suffered a loss of quantity, the quality of this wine makes it less painful. We love what Viognier does as an orange wine. This is the 3rd version of this wine and we are completely sold on this grape and style. We are very lucky to get to source the oldest (??) Viognier that is planted in the Willamette Valley.
